POSITION TITLE:                 Custodian

BUILDING:                             Western Dakota Technical Institute (D)

QUALIFICATIONS:               High school diploma and 1 year experience preferred. Must have documented working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.  Ability to perform manual maintenance tasks and must possess good custodial skills.  Able to lift up to 100 pounds. SD driver's license required.

BASIC FUNCTION:              This person will work under the supervision of the head custodian and will be responsible for the successful completion of custodial tasks as assigned.  A positive attitude and ability to work within a structured organization is essential.

WORK YEAR:                       12 Months

SALARY:                               $11.29 per hour (plus benefits)

HOURS OF WORK:              3:00 PM-11:30 PM (includes Saturday rotations)

POSITION TITLE:                 Computer-Aided Drafting Instructor

LOCATION:                           Western Dakota Technical Institute

QUALIFICATIONS:               A minimum of an Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting is required. A Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have substantial experience in Civil and/or Manufacturing Drafting.  Working knowledge of recent CAD software is strongly recommended (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).  Must meet state requirements for post-secondary teaching credential including a minimum of three years (6,000 hours) of employment directly related to the technical drafting profession in the last five years.

BASIC FUNCTION:              This person will be responsible for providing technical instruction in the Computer-Aided Drafting program, to include introduction and advanced drafting theory and applications, utilizing established curriculum. Also will be required to develop curriculum for new courses as needed. Will work collaboratively with CAD program faculty and other programs to provide instruction necessary for students to be successful in the workplace.

WORK YEAR:                       175 days (Normal School Year)

SALARY:                               $23.05 per hour + benefits

HOURS OF WORK:              7.5 hrs per day

POSITION TITLE:                   Computer Networking Specialist Instructor

BUILDING:                              Western Dakota Technical Institute

QUALIFICATIONS:                 Bachelor’s Degree preferred, AS/AAS Degree required in computer science, computer network administration or a closely-related field and at least three years work experience in network administration with CISCO experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience is necessary to perform the essential functions of the work.

BASIC FUNCTION:                 Plans and presents classroom and lab instruction on computer operating systems and networking components; develops software and hardware specifications, course materials and student assessment tools for assigned course; and assists in the development and monitoring of program budget, course scheduling and industry collaboration activities. Teach courses using a combination of face-to-face classroom and online techniques.  May be required to develop and teach distance education courses.  Work as a team player and function within a structured organizational setting are essential.

WORK YEAR:                         175 days

STARTING SALARY:              $23.05 per hour + benefits
